Anna Pingina is our beautiful Muse of Spring – she was born on a warm May day in the very south of Russia which is probably how she gained all that warmth she is sharing with those around her. She finds it difficult to recall when she began singing - has there ever been a time that she was not? Anna quit her formal music education after just one year of school having found it way too boring, and instead started her first band (that is a bunch of fifth graders!) where she played base and... sang, obviously! Few years down the road - after paying dues to her parents' ideas of her future and to law school - Anna finally left the path of the wise and took up vocal and acting in a school proudly named after a renowned Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. As early as on her fourth year there she was invited to perform a lead role in a Broadway classic "West Side Story" directed in Russia by Adolf Shapiro. The roles of Fleur-de-Lys in the sensational Russia version of "Notre Dame de Paris" and of Mary Magdalene in the legendary "Jesus Christ Superstar" followed. Apart from her career on stage, for many years Anna has been intensely studying Slavic folklore collecting rare records and making her own music based on folk tradition. As part of this effort she toured for three months in Spain jointly with the Krasnodar jazz band "Ekaterinodar Band” and the "Premiera" production company. In winter of 2005 Anna met George Mazhuga as they worked together on Anna's project called "Kimberlite". Shortly after, when “Minnus Trelligh” was formed, Anna has kindly agreed to perform together with “Minnus Trelligh” as a guest star enhancing the band's sound with the depth of her voice.
